Dr. Taha Jomha BMed Sci, DDS
I love being a dentist! It all started back in 2001 when I started my University Career. I was fortunate to have worked a summer job as a dental assistant and I fell in love with every aspect of the career. Dentistry offers everything I want in a career; I get to help people, play with cool gadgets and run my own business! I completed 2 years of undergrad and then was accepted into the faculty of dentistry. I graduated as a general dentist in 2007.
My favorite thing about working is building relationships with people. I see so many different people from all walks of life and I feel that people have awesome stories. I will probably forget your name but I always remember a random fact you told me the last time you were in and of course I can always identify you by your teeth! I have been providing dental care for over 10 years and my most satisfying day is when I can help a patient in pain or when I have an anxious kid who leaves super happy. A day where all my check up and cleaning patients are cavity free is awesome too.
I also moonlight as a computer programmer; if you have ever sent my office a text message or booked an appointment online…then you are using my hand written software! My love for technology is spilling over into my dental practice. I am excited to be offering 3D x-rays, intra oral photos, and just recently same day crowns and digital impressions. Dentistry is changing rapidly and I am doing my best to stay up to date. I have travelled all over Canada and the US to train under some of the best doctors.
When I am not working I am probably hanging out with my wife and 4 kids. They keep me very busy. When I do have spare time, I am probably at my CrossFit gym or running.
If you ever need to ask me something please feel free to email me. firstname.lastname@example.org
Michelle Office Manager
Hi, my name is Michelle and I am the Office Manager at Summerlea Dental! I chose to work in the dental field so I could help patients achieve and maintain self confidence with a healthy smile! I graduated from the Dental Assisting program at KDM in 2009, and am currently furthering my education through the dental practice management program with UBC.
I have been working at Summerlea as both a Dental Assistant and Receptionist for 8 years. In fact, I was one of Dr. Jomha’s first employees!
Hey, I’m Samiha! I am one of the Registered Dental assistants here at the office and have been here in Alberta for a 1 ½. I graduated from Durham College in Ontario in 2012 as a Dental assistant. I strive on my patient’s success and I do what it takes to make sure no patient leaves unsatisfied. At Summerlea Dental, we pride ourselves in providing the best most optimal care and with this great team we have built, we don’t see ourselves providing anything less.
When I am not in the dental office, I am taking my dog Beau out to explore, baking and cooking for my family and expressing my inner self by practicing yoga daily. As I continue my training and excel in all the new technologies we are embarking in as an office, I am proud represent my patients and be a part of this new and always growing team!

I am an avid bird lover and have devoted many years to learning all about the vast majority of parrot species. I have a Lovebird at home named “BABY,” I watched him hatch from an egg over 10 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, trying new restaurants and going to the movies. I love working in the dental field because it is always evolving and changing, there is always an opportunity to learn something new. Our team here at Summerlea Dental strives to offer the best in quality care and provide a memorable experience.

Hi, I’m Amy the Registered Dental Hygienist here at Summerlea Dental and I love my job! I completed my schooling in 2009 at Texas State Technical College. After working as a hygienist for 2 ½ years, I participated in a mission trip for a year and a half in the states. When I returned in 2014 I started working at Summerlea Dental and have been here ever since!
One thing I appreciate about the field I work in, is the continual opportunity for growth and further education. The most fulfilling part of my job is when I see the transformation in my patient’s oral health in between their visits. I also love the fact that I get to talk with someone different every hour and get to know them on a personal level. Over the years of working here I’ve come to consider my patients as friends.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my nieces and nephews, and spending time outdoors with my fiancé. I love kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and gardening in the summer and cross country skiing and skating in the winter. I also have a passion for travel and love hearing suggestions of where I should explore next!
